How the content on Mapa do Crédito is produced, checked, updated and corrected. Who is accountable for it, and what we will never publish.
Who is accountable for the content
Comparison pages, rankings and comparison tools are assembled from our catalogue, so authorship belongs to Organizzei Soluções Ltda., not to a person. Naming a person as the author of a catalogue-assembled page would be false.
What those pages do have is a person accountable for the review, with a name, a role, areas of expertise and a profile page. Their name appears at the end of every page, in the authorship block, and it does not change from visit to visit. Blog articles have a named author, with the same block at the end of the text.
How a piece of content is made
- TopicChosen from real questions people ask on the site and from gaps in what we have already published.
- ResearchPrimary sources only, always official channels.
- AI-assisted writingThe first draft is written with the support of artificial intelligence, from the research and each author's editorial guidelines. The AI does not decide what gets published and does not have the last word.
- Fact checkingFigures, deadlines and terms are checked against the official source. Text with a figure that does not check out does not move forward.
- Human reviewA reviewer on our team reads the content before publication. That is the name in the authorship block on the page.
- Publication and monitoringOnce published, the content enters a continuous automated compliance sweep that flags problems for review.
Our sources
- Official sites and channels of the institutions or companies mentioned
- The regulator or responsible body, where one exists
- Official publications of the programmes and services we cover
- Public contractual documentation, where available
We do not use data from unidentified sources. When something is not publicly available, we say so instead of estimating.
How often we update
Product information ages. Terms change, rules change, products disappear. So every piece of content has a review deadline, set by how critical the subject is:
- 90daysSubjects where wrong information costs the reader money, such as highly sensitive financial topics: rates, limits, credit terms and others.
- 180daysOther subjects with changing rules, including programmes and eligibility criteria.
- 180daysEvergreen content, such as guides and conceptual explanations.
On product pages, the date in the authorship block is that of the oldest piece of data on the page. In a list with many products, showing the most recent date would make you trust a number nobody checked.
What we never publish
There are promises no content of ours can make, because they are not true and because they lead readers to bad decisions. Our system searches for them automatically across everything we publish:
Approval promises
- guaranteed approval
- everyone gets approved
- approved even with bad credit, no exceptions
Outcome promises
- 100% guaranteed
- certain results
- risk-free returns
- clinically proven
Get-rich promises
- get rich quick
- easy money
- guaranteed extra income
Describing is not promising. A product that genuinely skips a credit bureau check can and should be described that way, because that is a true feature of it. What we do not publish is the promise that anyone will be approved. The line between describing a condition and guaranteeing an outcome is the line between information and bait.
We also do not publish content presented as individual financial advice, or any other kind of individual advice. What we do is information and comparison. The decision, and the consultation with a qualified professional, are yours.
How we order the products
A product's position in the ranking and in the comparison tool is set by criteria of the product itself: terms, cost, access requirements and fit with the reader's profile. No position is sold.
Partner blocks are commercial and always labelled. Rankings and the comparison tool are editorial. A partner paying does not change their position in the ranking, and appearing in a partner block does not mean being the best option for you.
How the revenue comes in is detailed in How we make money.
Errors and corrections
We get things wrong, as any newsroom does. When that happens we correct it and record the date of the correction on the affected page, without erasing the history.
If you found something wrong, write to contato@mapadocredito.com with the page link. We answer every report.
